Founded in 2021 by three engineers who'd had enough of consultancy bloat and one ex-product manager who keeps everyone honest.
We're a four-person shop on the third floor of an old harbour building in Rotterdam-Noord. We came together because we'd all spent stretches of our careers in large consultancies and decided that we'd rather do good work for a small number of clients than indifferent work for a lot of them. The team is small on purpose and likely to stay that way.
Maaike de Bruin — Engineering lead. Spent eight years at a major Dutch payments processor and brought along most of the lessons. Founder.
Joris Verheij — Backend engineer. Specialises in data architecture and the kind of careful schema work that pays off three years later. Joined in 2022.
Andrei Sokolov — Platform engineer. Runs the on-call rotations on engagements where we provide operational support. Background in fintech infrastructure.
Sanne Beckers — Operations and the only adult in the building. Ensures that what we promise to clients matches what we actually deliver.
Most engagements involve one or two of us embedded with your team — in your office if you're in the Benelux, remote if you're not. We don't sub-contract. We don't bring in juniors on someone else's invoice. The people you meet in the kickoff meeting are the people who'll be doing the work.
We speak Dutch, English, German (Maaike), French (Sanne), and Russian (Andrei). Most of our client work happens in English.
